Officially Official: 2010 Opel Astra revealed ahead of Frankfurt debut

Posted by Ahmad Faraz on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, In : Cars

The 2010 Astra's design is inspired by the Opel Insignia, sporting all-new sheet metal that takes cues from its mid-size sibling and packages it into a smaller, more fluid shape. The fascia, headlamps and rump remain true to Opel's new design direction, along with the sculpted sides and cab-forward greenhouse.

The same Delta 2 global platform used on the Cruze and Volt underpins the new Astra, measuring in at 174 inches, with a wheelbase that stretches 2.8 inches longer than the outgoing model...

If you find your large auto too big for easy wading in traffic and in the parking lots then opt for the small 2009 Fiat Abarth 500. This one’s a fun car to drive and to look at. It’s so small and compact it is ideal for singles or couples who have not yet started building a family. This one has 16 inches 8-spoke rims with 195/45R-16 tires, large roof spoiler, sporty side skirts and a slightly longer nose for feeding air into the IHI turbo engine.

With the entry of the 2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid Ford now has two options for the hybrid-crazy car market and frankly, more options to make more money.

The 2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid has a price tag ...

Posted by Ahmad Faraz on Saturday, May 2, 2009, In : Cars

What's this? Somehow, the natural order of things in the automotive world has been upset to the point that Ford (129,898 total units) has outsold Toyota (126,540 total units) in the United States in the month of April. For those keeping track of such things, this is the first time in over a year that the Blue Oval (consisting of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury, but not including Volvo) has moved more machines than the mighty Toyota.

Normally, posting a 31% decline in sales compared to the same month...

Posted by Ahmad Faraz on Saturday, May 2, 2009, In : Cars

With all the products the Texas-based tuner is coming out with, there's no other explanation. So in addition to creating the 705-hp Corvette ZR700, 715-hp GTR700 and a duo of force-fed Camaros, Hennessey has decided to tackle the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V – and in the process created a four-door ZR1.
